Indian Navy engineer officer (B.Tech Mechanical or Marine) to MEO Class IV
Indian Navy engineer officers with a B.Tech in Mechanical or Marine Engineering (or the MESC course) have their naval sea service and training certified by the Navy, complete Bridge Course 1 and the operational-level engine room simulator, and pass the DGMA examination for MEO Class IV (foreign-going); the same service also leads to the near-coastal Class IV by oral examination, or to a harbour-craft certificate.
